Meet Your Expert,
Lindsey Bridges MEd
My role as an educational diagnostician is to develop an understanding of your student’s learning needs by conducting a thorough and systematic process of assessment and evaluation. At the beginning of the testing session, I build rapport with your student, ensuring a supportive and comfortable environment that encourages openness. Once I have gathered relevant background information through parent and teacher interviews, and reviewed academic history and previous assessments, I administer standardized assessments to measure cognitive abilities, academic skills, and emotional or behavioral factors. I then interpret these results, comparing them to age-level norms to identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses in the areas of reading, writing, math, language, and attention. This data, combined with observational insights, helps form a comprehensive understanding of the student’s needs. Based on the findings I make recommendations for targeted interventions, accommodations, or further testing, aiming to create a tailored plan that supports the student’s academic growth and overall well-being.
When I’m not focused on my career, I’m at home with my wonderful husband and our two enthusiastic sons, both in elementary school. Our family is rounded out by Rosie, our golden retriever, who loves to play fetch and cuddle with us after a long day. Outside of family life, I have a few passions that keep me grounded—reading, gardening, and baking are some of my favorite hobbies. I also love to escape to the beach whenever possible, as it’s the perfect place to unwind and make lasting memories with my family.

My Diagnostician certification training was completed under the guidance of renowned educational assessment researcher and professor, Dr. Edward Schultz, co-author of the Core Selective Evaluation Process (C-SEP). Combining my experience in the classroom with my role as a diagnostician, I am able to bridge the educational assessment results directly to classroom outcomes, helping families understand their child’s strengths and unique learning needs.
